A septic tank truck crashed on Orange Blossom Trail Monday night, dumping its load all over the road.

The crash happened at OBT and Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) in north Orange County around 6:30 p.m.
Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of the septic pumping truck lost control as he was coming to a red light on OBT.
Troopers believe the driver was trying to make it through the light before it turned red, and at some point the load inside the tank shifted, causing the truck to tip over.
The septic tank truck dumped hundreds, if not thousands of gallons of raw sewage all over OBT, according to FHP.
The driver was trapped inside the truck for a while and had to be cut out of it. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Crews spent hours cleaning up the mess, shutting down the road in that area.
We reached out to Brownies Septic and Plumbing, which operates the truck involved. The company’s president says the truck was hauling grease trap water from one of the major hotels -- but nothing that’s toxic or harmful to the environment.
The company is working to clean up the area where the crash happened.
