Deputies are asking for the public's help in finding a vehicle thought to have left the scene of shooting in Marion County on Thursday that left a man dead and another in critical condition.

The shooting at a home on Oak Track Radial in Silver Springs Shores is being investigated as a homicide.

Deputies went to the home at about 6:18 p.m. over reports of gunshots heard in the area.

When they arrived, deputies said they found Marcus Lee Rodriguez, 37, dead of a gunshot wound. A second man, 36-year-old Jonathan Moore, was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition as of Friday night.

Deputies also made contact with Oral Beckford, 30, who as at the scene.

Investigators are now looking for a 2001 gold- or champagne-colored Ford Ranger pickup truck with Florida tag 6276HE. The truck is missing its tailgate and has damage to the rear-view window. It's thought that the vehicle left the scene around the time of the shooting.

As of Friday, no arrests have been made. Investigators think this is an isolated incident, and there's no immediate danger to the public.
