7:25 p.m., Friday, Oct. 07

Utilities Commission New Smyrna Beach (UCNSB) says all customers are without power.

The main transmission line to the main power station is down.

In addition, the phone number to get information is down.

Customers are being asked to turn off the main breaker panel to their home so once power is restored they will not experience a damaging surge.

Crews are starting priority restoration today and assessing infrastructure. Crews from several power companies will help restore power Saturday.

If you see a power crew in your area and you have a generator hooked up to a breaker panel, UCNSB is asking that you shut it off.
