If you were impressed with your pumpkin-carving skills this year, just wait until you see what NASA scientists have come up with.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) held its annual Pumpkin Carving contest and let’s just say some of designs were out of this world.

JPL’s pumpkin carving contest in Pasadena is an annual tradition and the sky’s the limit for the creations.

A lot of the pumpkins represented the latest accomplishments of NASA like the JUNO spacecraft orbiting Jupiter. Another showed Samples from Mars represented by chocolates coming out of a pumpkin.

Some of them were just for fun, like a carousel pumpkin using an electric motor, a dark side pumpkin featuring Darth Vader and one labeled Martian Sample Return Mission showing a UFO abducting a cow.
