Here's a check of the weather forecast for Thursday and into the weekend:

  • Gusts maybe between 20 to 30 mph at the coast
  • Partly sunny skies, temps in the low to mid 80s
  • Temps to remain that way through the weekend
  • SEE BELOW: See the 7-day forecast

Not so breezy overnight for most as our wind relaxes to around 5 to 10 mph.  Along the coast we could still have wind around 15 to 20 mph.

Under a partly cloudy sky, temperatures are to back off into the middle 60s by daybreak Thursday.

Thursday afternoon will become breezy again with gusts between 20 and 30 mph as our temperatures get back into the middle 80s.

A dome of high pressure will continue to build stretching from the Mid-Atlantic states into the deep south. Wind will continue from the Ocean and get quite breezy both Thursday and Friday afternoon. Gusts along the coast will be between 20 and 30 mph.

A few coastal sprinkles to a brief shower is possible within the moist flow streaming in from offshore. The chance is less than 20 percent.

High temperatures are going to remain a few degrees above normal through the last few days of October with lows near normal. Normal high is 83 and our normal low is 64.  35 more days to go in Tropical Season.

Wave heights are building with surf conditions still predicted poor on Thursday.  Wave heights will get to 4 to 6 feet due to a gusty east inland flow.  Rip current threat is moderate with the water temperature running about 72 at Daytona Beach and 77 at Cocoa Beach.
