Tough Mudder has returned to Palm Bay for a second year of competition, and police are urging people to be safe over the next few weeks while the event is set up.

  • Crews have begun assembling the 12-mile obstacle course
  • At least 5,000 people expected to participate
  • Tough Mudder runs Nov. 5-6

Crews have already begun assembling the 12-mile, 25-obstacle course located on a 200-acre compound west of the city.

At least 5,000 people are expected to participate in outdoor endurance competition, which begins early next month.

In the meantime, police will be patrolling the course to ensure workers’ safety. While construction is underway, residents are encouraged to avoid the area.

“We are just letting every know it is under construction,” said Lt. Mike Bandish of the Palm Bay Police Department. “Be careful out there and stay away from the course, and let them set up.”

Tough Mudder takes place Nov. 5-6.
