Here's a look at the forecast for Friday and the weekend:

  • Lots of sunshine
  • Highs in the mid-80s
  • Lower temperatures expected for the weekend
  • SEE BELOW: See the 7-day forecast

Overnight lows will be close to normal as temperatures slip into the middle 60s under a mostly clear sky.  Friday will be our transition day from above normal temperatures to below normal temperatures.

A cold front diving through will turn the wind around from the northwest ushering in cool and dry air for the weekend. Highs Friday will top out in the middle to upper 90s.

The cold front should be sliding through late Friday with a brief increase in clouds in the afternoon.  We will wake up to temperatures below normal by 5 to 10 degrees Saturday morning.

No rain is expected to accompany the front as dew points take a tumble into the 40s and 50s leading to very comfortable conditions.  High temperatures will top out in the middle to upper 70s while lows are going to bottom out in the middle to lower 50s on average.

Surfing should be fair Friday with wave heights around 3 to 4 feet building to 5 feet on occasion.  Waves will be decreasing this weekend.  Rip current threat is still high, so stay close to the shore and near a lifeguard whenever possible.
