On top of balancing homework and classes at Holy Family Catholic School in the Lake Butler area, six kids also volunteer their time to different organizations.

“It is always a lot of fun, but it doesn’t always go our way,” said Zach Wolsonovich, Everyday Hero and president of the Reach Out committee. “I’m so happy we are helping people.”

Wolsonovich and the group have made it their mission to help others. In fact, cell phone footage captured one of the group's acts of kindness.

The video shows one of their teachers walking into her home and reading handwritten cards displayed on the walls. The cards were written by students after she was diagnosed with cancer.

The kids also raised hundreds of dollars for her.

“It was really important to me to help Mrs. Sierra because when I was little I had cancer so I know what it's like, so to give that money to her it felt good too," said Tatum Campella, Everyday Hero.

In other parts of the country, the students helped victims of this summer’s deadly Louisiana flooding by sending clothing and money.

And their work doesn’t end there, they have even played a role in opening a fish farm in Uganda so residents who are less fortunate would be able to feed themselves.

As for their next plan, they are focusing on children in other countries who’ve lose their parents.

“We are going to give money to families and orphans in the Dominican Republic and Haiti,” said Wolsonovich.
