A vehicle caught fire on an access road at Apopka High School on Monday, prompting an evacuation of the school and slightly injuring the operator, police said.

A private company's vehicle caught fire on an access road near the back of Apopka High, sending billowing black smoke into the air.
The operator of the vehicle suffered a minor injury, Apopka Police said.
A Twitter user shared a video of the vehicle fire behind Apopka High. A person who goes by "DM" on Twitter shared this video with News 13.

Just after 11 a.m., the Apopka Fire Department and police responded to the scene.
The school was temporarily evacuated, but class resumed later in the day.
