Several parks, trails and recreational facilities in Brevard County will remain closed through the weekend due to the effects of Hurricane Matthew, according to the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Hurricane Matthew caused severe damage and flooding to Florida’s east coast. The storm also caused thousands of Floridians to lose power for days.
The U.S. death toll from Matthew climbed to 44 on Friday; nine of those deaths were in Florida.

- Intracoastal Waterway Park in Merritt Island
- Wuesthoff Park and Wuesthoff Trail in Titusville
- Ulumay Wildlife Sanctuary in Merritt Island
