Here's the weather forecast for Central Florida for the weekend:

  • Slight chance for showers overnight
  • Overnight temps in mid to low 70s
  • Easterly wind continues into Sunday

Aside from a few passing showers, the start of our weekend wasn’t too bad.

We had a mix of sun and clouds Saturday afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s. With strong winds off of the Atlantic, rain was able to move inland and quickly to the west.

There will be a slight chance for a few showers overnight as well as into our Sunday. The majority of the showers will end early, but we’ll still see a slight chance for a few showers to move inland as we head toward daybreak on Sunday.

Expect mostly cloudy skies through the overnight hours with temperatures in the mid to low 70s. Some of our northern spots may be able to fall into the upper 60s.

Easterly wind will continue for Sunday, which will once again allow for a few showers to move inland. In fact, the next several days will be similar with a slight chance for showers, breezy easterly wind and seasonable temperatures. Highs will remain in the mid to low 80s with lows around 70 degrees.

In the tropics, Nicole remains a hurricane, but is racing quickly away from the United States and will weaken to a remnant low soon. No other concerns are in the tropics at this time. The hurricane season does not end until November 30.
