A man was killed in an industrial accident in Orlando, deputies said early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at about 5 a.m. at the Taylor Farms facility at 7492 Chancellor Drive. A 911 call came in at 4:56 a.m., deputies said. When they arrived, they found an approximately 38-year-old man stuck in heavy machinery.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, who officials said worked for the company for a few years, died while working inside the 24-hour food processing plant.

"They'll try and look into what occurred and if there was something wrong with the equipment. That's all going to be part of the open investigation," said Lourdes Clayton, a spokeswoman with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Employees at the scene said they have been told the business will be closed for the rest of the day.
