With the weekend looking wet across the middle of the state, we present four places to enjoy indoors that won't soak your wallet.

ARMED FORCES TRIBUTE INDOORS

We start in Largo, where Barbara Cowan from New Port Richey is impressed.

"This is just awesome," she said.

The Armed Forces History Museum is a reminder of the sacrifices made for freedom.

"Our core mission is to preserve the memories of the military and its veterans," said Cindy Bosselmann, the assistant executive director.

Exhibits start with World War I and then lead to Desert Storm.

DISTILLERY TOURS

Free tours of the St. Augustine Distillery begin with visitors clocking in. Here, you can go on tour and get free history and chemistry lessons.

"It goes from a liquid to a vapor back to a liquid," said Phil McDaniel, the co-founder and CEO.

Each tour ends with a free sample for those over the age of 21.

THE WINGS OF SCIENCE

The Orlando Science Center allows visitors to get hands on.

"You're trying to get it to fly all the way through there, which is very hard," said Isabella Carl, as she tries to launch a paper airplane through a hoop.

The 'Paper Glider Challenge' illustrates the science behind flying.

"Welcome to your space pod."

Nearby, big kids can enter the Space Base sphere that surrounds visitors. After putting on a virtual-reality headset, you can go for a walk along Mars.

ART THAT'S ALL WET

At the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art in Daytona Beach, you'll find weather on canvas.

"It's rushing wind that's in a hurry," visitor Cathy Van Benthuysen said.

She's looking at paintings of hurricanes, wild fires and tornadoes. While we hope those don't take place this weekend, the works of art are pretty realistic.
