One of the long-standing icons at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will soon be removed.

Say goodbye to the Earffel Tower, which has been at the park since 1989. The 130-foot tall tower has a 32,000-pound set of mouse ears on top and was inspired by the water tower in Burbank, California, which has been at the Disney Studios since 1939.

Disney has not said when the tower will be removed.

The decision comes as several attractions close to make way for the Star Wars and Toy Story expansions at the park.  Earlier this month, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on the Streets of America permanently closed for the expansion projects.

Other closings include Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure playground, Monsters Inc. Character Meet and Greet, Writer’s Stop, Watto’s Grotto and Studio Catering Co., a Disney rep confirmed. Those attractions are slated to close April 2.  Disney says daily shows will continue at Lights, Motor, Action! until the closure date.

Disney recently opened the Star Wars Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios and introduced a new nighttime show "Symphony in the Star: A Galactic Spectacular."
