After about 10 hours, northbound I-95 at the I-4 interchange in Daytona Beach has reopened after a tractor-trailer crashed and caught fire Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The highway was shut down for all of Wednesday afternoon and night. The roadway finally reopened around 1 a.m. Thursday.

The crash happened sometime before 3:30 p.m., when troopers said a truck reportedly carrying mops hit a guardrail and caught fire. Heavy smoke and flames could be seen from the crash.

The driver, Timothy Williams, 32, got out of the semi before it caught fire and was not seriously hurt, said Sgt. Kim Montes, of the Florida Highway Patrol. Williams was traveling from Miami to Missouri.

Williams was ticketed for failure to maintain a single line.
