The Space Coast will be the finish line to a cross-country adventure that's currently underway.
The Fireball Run is an annual cross-country race to help find missing children. It will conclude on Saturday in Cocoa Beach.
This year's theme is Space Race. The eight-day event started in Hartford, Connecticut, and 40 teams have been tasked with completing trivia and activity-based challenges as they make their way to Brevard County.
Four astronauts are competing in this year's race, including Jon McBride, who is part of Team Space Coast.
As teams solve missions and earn points by visiting cities, they also distribute missing child fliers wherever they go.
A public celebration and parade are planned for downtown Cocoa Beach on Saturday afternoon to welcome the competitors.
