An investigation is underway after a 34-year-old man was shot and killed early Friday morning in Orlando, according to police.

An Orlando police officer were conducting a traffic stop around 12:47 a.m. in the area of the 900 block of West South Street when the officer heard multiple gunshots.

Officers immediately responded to the 1100 block of West South Street, where they discovered a bicycle on the ground.

An officer was able to locate Dierre Bradford about 50 yards away from the bicycle.

Bradford died from gunshot wounds, police said.

Orlando police said Bradford's death is being considered a homicide, but there currently are no witnesses.

The investigation is ongoing.
