A bankruptcy judge handed a win to Casey Anthony this week in the defamation lawsuit brought by Zenaida Gonzalez.

The judge ruled Gonzalez's claims that Anthony purposely linked her to the death of Caylee Anthony had no evidence.

Gonzalez brought the case before the bankruptcy judge, hoping the judge would exempt her case and any possible defamation award she might get.

The judge said it would be pointless for Gonzalez to pursue her "defamation claim if it is dischargeable in bankruptcy."

Gonzalez was interviewed by the sheriff's office in 2008 after Anthony claimed a woman named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez was babysitting her daughter and may have kidnapped her. Gonzalez sued Anthony, claiming the case had been damaging to her reputation.

We contacted Gonzalez's attorneys for a statement but have not heard back yet.

Casey Anthony was acquitted in 2011 of the murder of her daughter, Caylee.

A few years ago she filed for bankruptcy, claiming she could not pay back nearly $800,000 in debt from collectors such as her attorney Jose Baez, the Orange County Sheriff's Office and Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement.
