Ten people have been arrested following a four-day undercover Internet child sex sting operation in Osceola County.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Kissimmee Police Department, the Orlando Police Department, the Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, conducted "Operation Blind Date" Sept. 10-13 as part of the Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

During the operation, undercover detectives posed as juveniles to talk with individuals in chat rooms and instant messaging programs on the Internet. Suspects would then travel to a meeting location in Osceola County with the purpose of having sex with a child.

The Sheriff's Office said one suspect traveled from Ocala and another suspect brought his 2-year old child with him.

The following people were arrested:

  • Jonathan Diperna, 25, of Davenport, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device.
  • Eliot Libby, 32, of Poinciana, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device, use of a computer to seduce/lure a child.
  • Anthony Maisonave, 22, of Ocoee, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device.
  • Steven Morales, 24, of Kissimmee, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, use of a computer to seduce/lure a child, child neglect.
  • Steve Nichols, 23, of St. Cloud, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, possession of photo of sexual performance of a child.
  • Alfonso Pena-Nopal, 38, of Lake City, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device.
  • Eric Redmond, 37, of St. Cloud, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device, use of a computer to seduce/lure a child.
  • Chad Edward Valenti, 32, of Orlando, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device.
  • Carlshay Dequawn Williams, 21, of Winter Park, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device.
  • Christopher Scott Wilson, 28, of Sarasota, is charged with travel to meet child for sex, unlawful use of 2 way communication device, use of a computer to seduce/lure a child, lewd & lascivious conduct, 2 counts of personal electronic transmission of information to a minor, 2 counts of transmitting video of a lewd act.
