The Melbourne community continues to rally behind the Brevard County deputy who was shot last month while conducting an investigation in the Port St. John area.
Agent Casey Smith was shot Aug. 20 when he was attempting to make a prostitution-related arrest at a home.
The suspected gunman, 65-year-old John Derossett, faces three counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
Smith was listed in critical condition for several days after the shooting. He remains hospitalized, but he is showing signs of recovery.

Four Melbourne-area Jersey Mike's locations donated 20 percent of their sales Monday to the Brevard County Public Safety Charity on Smith's behalf.
A total of $3,737.48 was raised.
"This community gets behind just about anything — especially when a (deputy) is shot in the line of duty," said Brian Price, a Jersey Mike's owner. "It kind of sends shockwaves throughout the community, and we just get behind it and do our part."
