Seven people in Volusia County are charged with running a meth lab with a child in the home.

Narcotics agents raided the home in Oak Hill on Friday and say they say they found meth in the home along with materials used to manufacture it.

They also found a 9-year-old boy. Relatives are now caring for the child.

The followiing were arrested:           

  • Scott Brown, age 31 of Oak Hill, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, trafficking in methamphetamine.
  • Terry Law, age 50, of Oak Hill, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, trafficking in methamphetamine, child abuse.
  • James Manns, age 44, of Oak Hill, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, armed trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II substance with intent to sell, possession of a schedule III substance with intent to sell, grand theft of a firearm, possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Jason Melvin, age 45, of Oak Hill, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, trafficking in methamphetamine.
  • John Norris, age 52, of Edgewater, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, trafficking in methamphetamine.
  • Vicki Rodgers-Stowe, age 62, of Edgewater, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, trafficking in methamphetamine.
  • Amanda Zurwell, age 33, of Oak Hill, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II substance with intent to sell, possession of a schedule III substance with intent to sell, possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
