A "suspicious" powder that prompted 35 people to evacuate the Theta Chi fraternity house at the University of Central Florida is a protein powder, UCF police said Friday.
Campus police said two tests of the substance indicated it was a protein powder.
The Theta Chi house was evacuated around 11:30 a.m. after UCF police said a cleaning crew preparing the house for a recruitment event found a cup containing the powder.
Orange County fire officials began testing the powder out of an abundance of caution.
