One person was rushed to the hospital as a trauma alert after a crash left a car wedged underneath the bed of a semi-truck Friday morning in Ormond Beach.
The crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. on U.S. Highway 1 at Wall Avenue, south of the I-95 interchange at Destination Daytona.

— Volusia Fire (@volusiafire) August 7, 2015State troopers closed the southbound side of U.S. Highway 1 as hazardous materials crews were called to clean up a diesel fuel spill. The crash ripped a fuel tank from the semi.
Ormond Beach police said the road should reopen around 10:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined.
