Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for Wednesday and the rest of the week:

  • "Welcome back summer," seasonal pattern returns to normal
  • Sea breezes on the move, 40–50% chance of rain this week
  • System in the tropics pushing away from Florida, not likely to develop

Clouds overnight will continue to break apart, with only a few isolated showers possible. Lows will fall into the mid-70s by sunrise.

After a few weeks in a fairly unusual summertime pattern for Central Florida, we are back on track with what we would typically see this time of year.

Departing low pressure up along the mid-Atlantic coast has drifted far enough away to allow a ridge of high pressure to our south to nudge slightly back in our direction.

Our stagnant pattern pattern will take us through Thursday before we see a return of the west-southwest flow. We will still keep thunderstorm chances at around 40–50 percent each afternoon and evening, but by the weekend shift them a little closer to the coast and away from interior areas. Highs through the entire seven-day stretch will heat back up into the lower to middle 90s.

In the tropics, Invest 95 is churning along the Carolina coastlines and continues to be quite disorganized. The National Hurricane Center bumped up chances of it becoming something tropical, but conditions are still not conducive to such development. In any case, his area of low pressure will have no direct impact on Florida, but will produce periods of heavy rain along the coasts of North and South Carolina.
