A school bus with no kids on the bus overturned in Lake County early Friday morning after crashing with a pick-up truck.

It happened around 6:20 a.m. at the intersection of Citrus Tower Boulevard and Mohawk Road in Clermont.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Donald Taylor, 48, of Clermont was driving his pickup northbound on Mowhawk Road and failed to stop at the stop sign and as he entered the intersection of Citrus Tower Boulevard.  The front of the pickup struck the right side of the bus and the collision caused the bus to overturn on its side.

The driver of the bus, 58-year-old Julio Lugo of Minneola and school bus monitor, 64-year-old Kathleen Farnsworth of Clermont, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Taylor, who was not injured, was ticketed for running a stop sign.
