The Melbourne Police Department is mourning the death of K-9 Diogi.
Diogi, who was retired, died Saturday night.
In June 2012, Diogi was injured after a suspect stabbed him with a box cutter while Diogi was assisting officers arresting an aggravated assault suspect.
