A weak front slipped into northern Florida, and has stalled near Jacksonville. Small impulses will ride the front into early Saturday, keeping us in a west to southwest flow. Widespread showers and storms are expected along the west coast sea breeze, and because of their slow movement, locally heavy rain will be possible both Friday and Saturday. Many of us could get around 1” of rain to as much as 3” of rain over the next 48 to 72 hours.  A mostly cloudy sky will help keep highs down, only topping in the upper 80s to near 90.

We’re back into an onshore flow this weekend, deepening atmospheric moisture across central Florida. Rain chances will stick to around 50 percent to 60 percent. If you have outdoor plans, have a plan B ready.

No tropical development is expected over the next 5 days.
