A Space Coast candy company is offering a sweet deal to help veterans, an effort that hits home for its owner.

It's always a treat at Rockledge's Grimaldi Candy Company.  Their hottest selling product is chocolate covered potato chips which are created on the line.

Owner Jim Frazier came up with a fundraising idea to use the tasty treats to help out those who served our country.

The reason: Jim has three sons in the Army, and a stepson who is an Army veteran.

Lending a hand to former and current military members is close to his heart.

"When I think about some of the things you see on TV, and some of our soldiers coming back home, and going through some of the challenges that they face," says Frazier.

From now until the end of July, 20 percent of the sales of Grimaldi's famous chocolate covered potato chips packages go to the Brevard based AVET Project, a group helping veterans make the transition back to everyday life.
