An investigation is underway after a bloody taxi was found partially submerged in a lake located off Ohio Avenue in Orlando, but the driver is nowhere to be found.
The cab was pulled out of the water, and investigators found blood on the door, but no one was inside. Residents in the area reported hearing what they thought were gunshots around 2 a.m.
"It's scary because last week, my tires (were) vandalized," said Bernadette Franklin, who lives in the area. "They were slashed. And now this week, this is going on. So, our neighbors are out here because we are very concerned because we do have a neighborhood watch."
The Orlando Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate the taxi driver 59-year-old Michael L. Smith.
