A DeBary man is recovering after he was attacked inside a storage facility by three men.

The 61-year-old victim told Volusia County Sheriff’s Office investigators around 12:40 am. Tuesday three armed men came to his mobile home, which is parked inside Highbanks Mini Storage on Sanctuary Avenue

The three men apparently knew his name, knocked on his door asking for help.

But when the victim opened the door, two of the suspects pushed him into a corner demanding money. A third suspect went into the home and pointed a gun into the victim’s face eventually beating him.

“While he insisted that he didn’t have any money to give them, they proceeded to ransack the house. They beat him up, they kept demeaning money, held him at gunpoint and eventually put him in the trunk of his car," said Andrew Gant from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

After a while, the suspects, described as being 18-years-old or younger and wearing masks, opened the trunk and fled.

Sheriff’s investigators are now looking for the three men.
