The racist vandalism found on a Flagler County street Friday with racists messages is now on a homeowner's property and their three cars.

Marie Chenowith arrived to her Ormond Beach pizza restaurant in someone else's car.

That’s because her car, and other family members' cars, were vandalized one block away from racist graffiti on one of Palm Coast's heavily-used streets.

Chenowith's family is from the Bahamas and ethnically mixed. Her sister's car has an ethnic slur spray painted on it.

"My sister, who looks most mixed out of all of us, had the most damage done to her car. So it's starting to make more sense that we were targeted," said Marie Chenowith, who shares her home with her mother, sister and her son.

The racist graffiti, with swastikas, 'KKK' and other symbols, were discovered Friday afternoon.

What upsets homeowners like Lori Farmer who lives in the area, is not just that all the racist remarks were written on their street, but that it has remained out there so long.

Farmer said she rode her bike past the graffiti Friday.

"It's hurting more people, the more people come by here and see it, the more it's inflicting on other people,” said Farmer.

A spokesperson with the Flagler County Sheriff's office said Friday night they are investigating, trying to determine who spray-painted the graffiti.

"It's not fair for us to have to live in fear that something else is gonna happen to us. Are our tires going to be slashed next? said Chenowith.

No word yet on when all that graffiti will be removed from the street.

We reached out to the Flagler County sheriff's office for an update on their investigation, but we have not heard back.

As for the three vandalized cars, Chenowith and her family said they will clean them up themselves.
