A 21-year-old man shot multiple times at an Orlando condominium complex early Thursday has died, police said.
Amos Ortiz died from gunshot wounds at Orlando Regional Medical Center, according to an update from Orlando police shortly before noon.
Police said the suspected shooter was an unknown Hispanic man in dark clothing. No other information on the suspect was immediately released.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at the Meadowwood Condominiums in Orlando. Police received a call about gunfire heard in at the complex, which is located along the 5800 block of Curry Ford Road.
As units responded to the call, some callers gave information about a person on the ground.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found Ortiz in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds. Ortiz was unresponsive when police arrived and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
