Tanger Outlets has its spot for a new mall in Daytona Beach.

The City council approved the plan 4-1 for the Tomoka Town Center Wednesday. The deal would have the city give $2.25 million in installments to the project, provided the developers meet a list of conditions.

The mall will be built on the edge of I-95 and LPGA Boulevard on undevelopment land.

The county is also promising $2.25 million if Tanger meets its conditions. The county already reached that deal.

The $100 million outlet mall is supposed to bring dozens of high-end retailers to Volusia County, along with 800 new jobs.

The goal is to have the mall built and open by autumn 2016.

Tanger owns and operates outlet malls throughout the country, but the only other location in Florida is in Fort Myers.
