Fixing a spelling mistake online is easy, once you spot it.
Fixing one on a road sign is a bit harder.
A viewer spotted an error Tuesday in this sign, posted near downtown Clermont. The sign reads:
SR 50 COMPLETION:
SPIRNG 2016
If you missed it, the misspelling is "spirng," instead of "spring."
Oops.
The sign refers to ongoing construction work on State Road 50.
We have reached out to the Florida Department of Transportation to find out when the sign could be fixed.
