A shark was caught on camera swimming close to shore Monday along the Brevard County coast.

In the video from Cocoa Beach, provided by the website Brevard Times, the shark swims very close to a man wading in knee-deep water with a metal detector, despite lifeguards ordering everyone out of the water after spotting two sharks near the Cocoa Beach Pier.

Brevard County Ocean Rescue spotted two black tip sharks near the Cocoa Beach Pier around noon, according to the Times.

A red "No Swimming" flag flew along Cocoa Beach for about two hours before lifeguards allowed people back into the water.

The man with the metal detector was seen on video using a beach scoop to keep one shark from getting too close.
