Rick Brumby says everyone has a story at the Museum of Military History in Kissimmee.

The tank out front along U.S. Route 192 in Orlando's tourism district gives away what's awaiting inside this former blue jeans store.

The Museum of Military History is full of wartime artifacts from generations ago to the present, each with personality.

"Facts and dates are one thing, but I can look at just about every item here, I can look at it and say, 'There's a story behind this, and I know who this person is,'" Brumby said.

Brumby served in the U.S. Navy, trained in "I was in inshore, underwater warfare." Today, he is the museum's historian.

"We see artifacts come from veterans and their families,” Brumby says of the treasure trove.

The Civil War, along with World War I, to the rise of Nazi Germany leading to World War II, along with Vietnam and the Korean War, to the War on Terror taking place in the Middle East, the museum has it all.

One of the newest exhibits is a large tablet. It looks like it's made out of cartoon characters. However, upon closer look, the United States government put together the tablet after the fall of Saddam Hussein to teach Iraqis how to vote.

Through exhibits that share the importance of sending troops letters to even how man's best friend was trained to be on the front lines.

"The importance of the past is the future," Brumby said. "I want people to understand that our freedom has a sacrifice."
