An armed robbery that may have been setup over Facebook led to a SWAT standoff in Casselberry.

Investigators said two men were planning to meet two women at a park, but instead were ambushed by three men with weapons.

It was first believed that the suspects ran down Dunbar Street and into a home.

When the SWAT team arrived, they detained everyone inside the home -- which was a family with small children. There was no sign of the robbers.

“I would’ve never imagined coming out my door with guns drawn on me," mother Cynthia Franklin said. "‘Put your hands up, get down!’ Never in a million years.”

Franklin and her family were inside their home sleeping early Tuesday morning when the Casselberry police arrived.

“The helicopter was over top and actually observed three individuals run from the wooded area into one of the homes close by," Cpl. James Hennessey said.

So officers surrounded their home for hours as the family slept, not knowing a SWAT team was outside ready for anything.

One by one, family members walked outside to feed the dogs or take out the trash.

“I fed one dog," son Juan Franklin said. "And the officer was standing here. He was like, put your hands behind your back, come here, turn around.”

All family members were detained and the children were escorted out as investigators searched the home for the suspects and any weapons.

“I said, well, if they come in my yard, what they do, they do it all the time," Cynthia Franklin said. "They run through here and jump that fence and they gone. They gone!”

Investigators found no sign of the suspects.

While the family was shaken and scared, they said they understand why it happened.

“I’m kinda glad they was here for the sake that if there was a hostage situation or a bad situation or something, they was here for our protection," father Sherman Franklin said.

Casselberry policesaid they believe this attempted armed robbery was all a setup. They don’t know if the two women on Facebook, who agreed to meet the victims, are even real.

The two victims in the shooting were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. For now authorities are continuing to search for the three robbers.
