Five people, including two young girls and an 11-month-old child, were injured in an overnight house fire in Flagler Beach, officials said.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. at a three-story home along Ocean Palm Drive, just west of A1A.

The wooden house was fully involved when crews arrived.

According to officials, Jessica Johnson and 11-month-old Landon Ghomely were airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center for burn injuries.

James Ghomely, as well as Madison and Elizabeth Johnson, were transported to hospitals for smoke inhalation. The girls are ages 2 and 5, but Flagler County officials couldn't confirm which girl is which age.

James Ghomely and Elizabeth Johnson were treated and released from Florida Hospital Flagler, a hospital official confirmed.

Madison Johnson was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, where she was listed in stable condition.

The conditions of the other family members are currently unknown, said Julie Murphy, public information officer for Flagler County.

Another man, the grandfather, was checked at the scene but wasn't injured.

"The house was a stilt and went up like a matchstick," Flagler County Fire Rescue Chief Don Petito said.

The fire also spread to a neighbor's home, but no one was injured there, officials said. That neighbor did not want to be identified but said he got up when he heard a smoke alarm going off. He pulled out a garden hose until firefighters arrived.

A few doors down, we spoke with Bob Nierstedt. He heard some popping noises and went outside. That's when he said he could see flames leaping over the trees. "I figured somebody must have it by now but I called 911 and asked them. They said no, they had no report of it. I said, well you have a house fire down in Flagler Beach and it's really going."

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
