SeaWorld's attendance and revenues are both up.

The first quarter report shows a slow rise for the beleaguered entertainment company.

The company had a 1 percent increase in revenue compared to last year. But they did have a new loss of $43.6 million.

Attendance at SeaWorld's parks are also up 5.6 percent, with 3.2 million visiting the parks in the first quarter.

Spending, however is down per quest 4.2 percent.

SeaWorld has stepped up its public relations campaign against critics since the release of "Blackfish: last year. SeaWorld executives insist their animals are treated well.

SeaWorld has also released some big promotions, with discounted tickets to get people into the parks.

SeaWorld is an Orlando-based company that runs theme parks throughout the country, including SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove in Orlando and Busch Gardens in Tampa.
