Two endangered sea turtles that were found stranded earlier this year were able to return to their natural habitat Thursday after being rescued.

SeaWorld Orlando Animal Rescue Team found the juvenile Kemp's ridley, known as the rarest sea turtle, entangled in a fishing buoy around its front right flipper with severe tissue damage. The green sea turtle was rescued in late February.

Both turtles were given antibiotics and anti-parasite medications. Several months later, the rescue team was able to return the sea turtles back into the ocean.

SeaWorld Orlando has rescued 44 sea turtles and returned 66 to the ocean this year, according to SeaWorld Rescue.
