In the coastal community of Seaside designed to be bicycle friendly, lunch on two wheels is gourmet when it comes from a trailer.

"We make everything fresh, everything organic," said Jenifer Kuntz, standing outside an Airstream trailer.

In Seaside's central square, you will find a collection of trailers that never leave. And they won't leave you hungry when you jump off your bike.

"All right, Jim! What do we have in here?" I ask, ripping into a paper bag.

"Right now, we're about to roll out some bacon and Brie on cranberry walnut bread," chef Jim Shirley said.

Shirley is renowned in these parts. His Melt Down on 30A trailer is known for grilled cheese sandwiches for adults and serving them from an old-school Airstream trailer.

"This is absolutely amazing," I exclaim, as the best grilled cheese I have ever tested ignites my mouth in a bath of flavors.

But there's more. Shirley forks over another divine package. "You got bacon jam, cheddar, and (it's) a little messier," Shirley says of the second sandwich now before me.

The flavors of all 10 sandwiches from the Melt Down on 30A melt together to become what may be the most heavenly grilled cheese you'll ever devour.

If you're craving BBQ, hop on your bike and make a stop near the yellow speed demon from the 70s.

"All right, all right, that brings me to Angie No. 33," shouts a man who goes by one name.

Murphy owns Barefoot B-B-Q that only serves hormone- and steroid-free BBQ.

"I picked my favorite!" squeals James Murphy. "Pork chips from his Airstream are legendary. That pork was smoked for 24 hours."

And by judging from the line stretched into the bike lane on the sidewalk, more than just I know about the goodness at hand.

"Good to see you, honey,” Shirley shouts from a megaphone as he passes out an order as we move to the next trailer.

Ready for dessert? Ride through Frost Bites for giant snow cones. Or if you just need a cool beverage, Raw and Juicy specializes in unique and all-natural smoothies.

"Everything that comes out of this trailer is completely fresh," Kuntz said.

Kuntz serves organic drinks and vegan dishes at Raw and Juicy that hold names like Green Goddess.

"Cold-pressed at the kitchen. Cucumber, celery, parsley, kale, apple and lemon," she shares, handing over a clear cup full of a green substance.

There is no guilt here.

"It tastes like we have totally squeezed a watermelon and put it right inside this cup," I say when enjoying a mashed up watermelon concoction.

When you're ready to work it all off, climb back aboard for a ride.
