On this beautiful morning, this South Walton County beach looks empty. Why?

Everyone is at the Seaside Farmers Market.

"You can come in your bathing suit and go to the beach afterwards," said Dr. Phillips resident Nicole Stein.

Each Saturday, find a farmers market rooted deep in wholesome finds.

"I love it in the glass. It reminds me of when I was a kid," said Seaside resident Bert Summerville.

Seaside, developed around the the "new urbanism" concept, promotes walkable neighborhoods and community gatherings.

"You could come here and do your shopping for the week," said Jenifer Kuntz, the manager at Seaside Farmers Market.

Kuntz said everything here is grown by farmers within a two-hour drive.

"We don't have people you would call a 're-packer,' somebody who is purchasing something from another location and is repacking what they are selling," Kuntz said.

Selling fresh greens is "the Green Man," who just may have chlorophyll in his veins.

"I woke up at midnight last night to pick greens for this market, so all night the lettuce blood and kale blood and turnip blood stains my hands," Mikael L'andre said.

There's also fresh milk from the Wesselhoeft family.

"I whistle and call the cows, and they come running and they know when to come" Mary Lou Wesselhoeft said.

Wesselhoeft also makes ice cream.

There is also something for man's best friend. Fifteen-year-old entrepreneur Kenneth Davis' homemade dog treats sell out fast.

"We sold out the first week, so that is when we knew it was going to be a very good endeavor," Davis said.
