An Orange County teenager and cancer survivor who was told he would not be allowed to graduate got good news Monday.

We first told you about Joey Grant last week.

Grant survived cancer twice, and still lives with an auto-immune disease.

He originally was told last fall he had enough credits to graduate West Orange High School, even though he was spending more time in the hospital than the classroom.

But last week he was told he was a half-credit short and would not be able to walk with his friends.

On Monday the school district reached out to his parents and say they may have come up with a plan to get Grant to graduate.

Grant's parents said his son will be working hard to meet that plan.
