Deputies in Orange County are investigating two home invasions that both happened late Sunday night.

Investigators said the first one happened around 11:20 p.m. at a home on Japonica Drive, in the Orlando area.

Deputies said the family, including a baby, were inside the home with someone broke in and fired gunshots.

No one was hurt, but investigators said they found shell casings inside and outside the home, and the front door was kicked in.

Investigators said they believe the incident was drug-related, as they found a small amount of marijuana inside the home.

The second home invasion happened just before midnight in the Dr. Phillips area, where deputies said three people — a woman and two men — robbed a man inside a home on Apple Tree Court.

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Deputies said they believe the second home invasion was an isolated incident and not related to the Japonica Drive home invasion.
