Six minutes.

That's all five Central Florida-area startup companies got Thursday to pitch their ideas to investors as they try to become the next big invention.

Bright House Networks sponsored "Pitch 6," an event modeled after the show, "Shark Tank."

Kevin Harrington, a former judge on "Shark Tank," is known as the inventor of the infomercial, is now a judge on "Pitch 6."

He's helping to decide who has the next big idea in Central Florida.

"So, what I look for any time I look for a new opportunity — I love to see something unique," Harrington said.

The companies had six minutes to impress the judges. The companies vying for the win include Bespoke Stitchery, Delta Maker, My One Resource, Innovation Attraction Management and Prestige Food Trucks.

It will now be up to the judges to decide who they believe has the most thought-out plan and potential for success.

The audience also got a chance to get involved in the action as they contributed with the People's Choice Award — voting with the smartphone on who should win.

Prestige Food Trucks won the audience's vote.

Will the judges feel the same way, though?

That question won't be answered until the Bright House Regional Business Awards, which will be held March 19, at the Rosen Shingle Creek.

The winner will receive free TV commercial production, commercial air time and cash.

Bright House Networks is the parent company of News 13.
