A wounded warrior and his family now have a new Brevard County home to live in.
Army Spc. Sean Taylor and his wife Amy have three children and received a free Palm Bay home, thanks to the Homes for Warriors program.
In July 2012, Taylor was thrown after he was helping a friend over a wall and he stepped on a pressure plate.
He was then injured in a Taliban-initiated attack where a grenade landed within 5 meters of him.
Spc. Taylor said he's lucky to be alive and grateful for this new home.
"It's overwhelming,” Taylor said. “I'm forever grateful. I would… anything they need. I would do anything.”
The program was created to help deal with the homelessness of veterans and military personnel.
