Oh Bernard. You think you have it so great - juggling three fiancées without them knowing. But dear Bernard, a few juggling lessons might've been brilliant.

"Boeing Boeing" is a classic French farce that made its English language adaptation back in '62. The Tony Award-winning comedy is now playing at the Garden Theatre.

The gist is this. Handsome bachelor Bernard has a flat in Paris. He's engaged to 3 gorgeous stewardesses. (Notice their uber-expensive, totally retro carry-ons they scored for the play). The ladies think they're his one and only. But even three airlines and wildly varying flight schedules can't keep them apart forever.

"For those who aren't familiar with farce," artistic director Keith Smith explained, "it's really exploiting ridiculous situations, which this show is perfect about."

When casting Bernard, Smith said he needed "a suave, dark-haired, handsome playboy type who just had it all together." Jim Walker landed the role.

"He was just perfect for it."

Smith says they play a lot on stereotypes in the show.

"We've got an American flight attendant, an Italian flight attendant, and a German," he said. "So we try to play up what people tend to think about those types of nationalities and some of the body language, the way they use their voice, their gestures and mannerisms."

Check out an exclusive scene from a dress rehearsal on the right! You'll see what happens as Bernard tries to prevent his Italian fiancée from running into his other one. Watch as Bernard's French Housekeeper - Berthe -  and Robert - Bernard's old school chum - react.

Also in that section, Allison Walker interviews the stewardesses. They stay in character.

"Boeing Boeing" runs through April 4. Tickets: $25 ($21 Students/Seniors), $15 for Industry Night.

The Garden Theatre is located at 160 West Plant Street, Winter Garden.
