The bomb threat in New Smyrna Beach is over five hours after a man called police and said he planted 10 bombs around area businesses.

A call came in to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department's non-emergency line around 8:13 a.m. reporting a bomb at Paradise Power Sports, located at 920 E. 3rd Ave.

Several roads in the area were closed, but everything has since reopened.

Sgt. Shane Riggle, of the New Smyrna Beach Police Department, said a man called and said he placed 10 bombs around the business and threatened any law enforcement that responded to the area.

Paradise Power Sports and surrounding businesses were all inspected and cleared.
