A standoff is over in Pine Hills, but the search for the man who caused the standoff is not over.

Deputies believed 24-year-old Michael Prudhomme was armed and barricaded in a house in the 5800 block of Harrington Drive. That's off Hastings Street between Balboa Drive and Silver Star Road.

They say they've been trying to contact him since 5 p.m., after someone called 911 about a man with a gun.

"When we were unable to get a hold of him we called the SWAT team out to use their specialized equipment and training to go in and get this person," said Paul Hopkins with Orange County Sheriff's Office. "They were able to get inside the house. They searched it but they did not find him."

Deputies said father and son were arguing when Prudhomme allegedly pulled the handgun. This is is not his first run-in with the law either. He was charged with battery back in 2013.

Deputies have a warrant for his arrest with charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Roads that were blocked in that area are now back open.
