Police said it is investigating a murder-suicide involving a couple at a home in Ocala early Monday.

Ocala police responded to a call shortly before 5 a.m. Monday reporting a homicide on Northeast 32nd Terrace.

When officers arrived, they said they found Chad Alan Miller, 38, and Kristi J. Musick, 44, dead on the kitchen floor, both with gunshot wounds to the head.

Detectives said Miller shot Musick early Monday, and then turned the gun on himself. The couple lived together at the home, police said.

Neighbors say the problems started about three hours before with the sounds of squealing tires, and the woman running from the home crying only to be coaxed back by the man.

"Based on the canvas of the neighborhood here, there was some sort of a disagreement or argument in the early morning hours, but I don't know the nature of it, and that's really as much as I've been told," said Ocala police Sgt. Angy Scroble.

"They were arguing, and they were trying to get her calmed down, and she was just crying frantically and walking down the road," said Sonja Freeman, a neighbor. "He got her to come back, and she sat right here and started yelling and crying all over again."

A truck from the driveway was towed away as evidence.
